Breast Cancer Awareness Giveaway

I wanted to raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness but with the economy down in the dumps and many people losing their homes and jobs, that effort didn't go so well.
First, let me tell you my own short story. Then we can get to my giveaway. Two years ago I found a lump in my little boob. It was October so breast cancer awareness was all over the place. I took it as my own personal omen that I had cancer. I worried, stressed and prayed. One thing led to another and I was sent to a surgeon who determined this lump filed with abnormal cells had to come out. I was convinced it was cancer. My dedicated research via the internet led me to diagnose myself as having stage 4 cancer. I went to the surgeon's office for the official results from pathology and when I head it wasn't cancer, I leapt of the office, never to return. I don't know if it was pre-cancer cells or what. I didnt follow up which I know was dumb. Stupid. Ridiculous!
I'll tell you this- those months from October through April with all the testing and worrying were no picnic. I didn't ever want to go through that stress again and I now have a big scar from the surgery which never faded and I don't like it. So I put off having another mammogram. Makes no sense, I know. Now with October being Breast Cancer Awareness month and all, I did a quick little self exam and guess what? Found a lump. Grrrr....I have my mammogram on Wednesday.
Have you scheduled your mammogram? Do you perform your monthly exams? Do you know your risk? This is important. Information is all over the internet, at your disposal, available twenty four hours a day.
I know that you probably can't afford to donate money right now. everyone is stuggling. But I do want to make a difference in someone's life. So here's the deal. I have some lovely products to give away for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. If you or someone you love has been affected by breast cancer, all you have to do is send me an email with the subject heading BREAST. And I will pick a random name at the end of the month to win a prize which contains a variety of beauty products. Distressedbluejeans@gmail.com
Now please follow up and do your exams and have a mammogram. After your breast has been smooshed and squished and all sense of privacy has been destroyed by having your boobs between a glass plate, you can go out and treat yourself to a little gift. A new mascara. Body lotion. Heck, that Suave exfoliating body wash is the bomb and it costs two bucks. Just do it!
