Behind the Scenes: tarte
I'm such a Tarte fan! When asked recently of my favorite makeup brands, I listed a few and mentioned Tarte because of their skin-vigorating ingredients. Their mascara is awesome, cheek stains are always kept close at hand for a flush of color and I love their new Eraser concealor. I wanted to share this behind the scenes makeup used at Fashion Week.
"Tarte was the makeup for Abaeté’s Fall 09 Fashion show, which took place at The Altman Building on Friday, February 13, 2009. Abaeté’s Laura Poretzky was inspired by Les Incroyables, a group of gentlemen who formed in the 18th Century after the French Revolution. Beauty.com celebrity makeup artist Tina Turnbow used this inspiration to create an “old world masculinity meets modern day femme” makeup look for the show. It was all about a monochromatic, dewy complexion with a touch of color. The eyes had a hint of gloss and the lips were slightly rose. Tina was able to achieve the look with several tarte complexion products such as smooth operator oil-free natural foundation with SPF 20 and the eraser 4-in-1 natural concealer. "
